Repairing and Restoring Bikes

Reliable transportation is something many of us take for granted. Volunteers working in The Well Bike Shop repair and restore bicycles that have been donated to The Well. This creates a channel through which to provide low-cost transportation to people living in the Pella area. Additionally, bicycles are also sold through The Well Thrift Store, with the revenue generating funds that support the ministry of The Well.

If you or someone you know has a need for a bicycle, requests are evaluated in person by making an appointment through The Well Resource Center in Pella.

Testimonial from a Bike Shop Volunteer

“I’ve been here since nearly the beginning helping to fix bikes. It started out with pumping up tires, cleaning them up a bit making sure they’re safe. Now we replace inner tubes, fix brake systems. We have pretty high quality standards! I enjoy helping do this at The Well. There’s a higher goal here; we are a part of that higher goal.”
