Hi everybody. We are entering the 4th month of going through our core values. And our core value this month is being Kingdom Minded. When we are kingdom-minded:

  • We have the eyes to see individuals and how God has created them.
  • We are unshockable in what the world throws at us.
  • We focus on God’s glory with an eternal mindset.
  • We have a goal of advancing the gospel on earth and reaching the lost.
  • We desire to partner with other kingdom minded organizations.

As I thought about scripture for this, I went to Philippians chapter 4:4-9 that says,

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is peer, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice, and the God of peace will be with you.”

So as we think about being Kingdom minded as an organization, there is certainly a heart posture of recognizing the fact that God is in charge of everything. Recognizing the fact that He is going to put us in positions that are hard, put us in positions that are challenging, but if we can stay focused on Him, He will lead us through those things.

As we think about The Well and working out in our communities, we desire to bring those great things that we read in the Bible about Kingdom, we want to experience those things on earth. That is extremely difficult because “seeing our own junk” can get in the way of that; our own junk can get in the way of how we navigate that, it can get in the way of how see the Kingdom, and how we talk about it.

So I’m going to challenge everybody this week to think about, as we are aligned with God, as we are in our Bibles, as we are taking a heart posture of Him first, how does that compare to when we get ourselves so busy, so wrapped up in other things… how do we see the Kingdom then, on those weeks, on those days?

So just compare and contrast, have some discussion as a team, and think about just how do we walk this out, how do we walk this kingdom-minded position out as an organization? I’m thankful for all of you, thankful for all you do, and have a great week. – Jayson
